Will iTunes let you rent video for your iPod?

Is iTunes coming ready for video downloads and rentals? It seems that iTunes 7.5 has movie rental and video on demand ready to go in it.

Check out these files:

  • rental-content
  • rental-bag
  • rbsync
  • source-rental-info
  • dest-rental-info
  • getvodaccountselectionlist
  • GET VOD ACCOUNT SELECTION LIST
  • supportsRentals

While this might not mean anything, it could be a sign of something to come in the future for the iPhone video on demand rental. This could also affect the iPod’s since they also use iTunes.

We’ll have to see what happens!
