Reset
To reset your iPod shuffle:

* 1. Eject your iPod shuffle from iTunes, if connected.
* 2. Remove iPod shuffle from the USB dock.
* 3. Move the switch on the top of the iPod shuffle to the off position.
* Tip: When iPod shuffle is off, the green stripe by the switch is not visible.
* 4. Wait 5 seconds.
* 5. Move the switch back to the on position so green stripe will be visible in either position.

* Retry your iPod shuffle with a different, high-power USB port on your computer. Plug the iPod shuffle dock into the port, then connect the iPod shuffle to the dock. Verify that the shuffle is seated securely in the dock.

* 7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
* 8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
o If Restoring was unsuccessful, try the iPod Reset Utility.
