Recently there has been a lot of talk about lithium ion batteries causing iPod fires. Many iPod fires have been traced to lithium ion batteries. The lithium ion batteries are used in laptops, iPods and many other consumer electronic items.
There has been a rash of iPod fires in Japan. Several reports of iPod fires in the United States have also traced the problem to the batteries. Many iPod batteries can be overcharged and cause problems that will relate to the iPod battery going bad.
If you have problems with your iPod overcharging, getting really hot or not holding a charge for very long, you should get a new iPod battery. You can send your Ipod out to get the battery replaced or have it replaced by yourself. You can replace your own iPod battery before your Ipod catches fire.
iPod Nano problems are plenty with the small little device. The iPod Nano is a popular device that is so small that it can encounter different problems easily. There are numerous reports of different problems with the iPod Nano, most of which are relatively minor and Apple is aware of them for fixes in the next generation of the iPod Nano.

In my previous articles talking about frozen iPod problems and how to reset your iPod, I briefly touched on the last “R” on the 5 “R”s for iPod problems.
The last “R” for any iPod problem is how to restore your iPod. I would like to specifically touch on how to restore your iPod on a Windows computer. So, if you should ever need this, and hopefully you don’t, just remember that there is a huge difference between a reset and restore for your iPod.
